Ummm no it doesn't.

Not sure what level your scratches are but I, like everyone else who is trying to get rid of scratches, tried this stuff a few years ago....It did absolutely nothing for me.
I started on the rear with it and ended up throwing the package away....I did keep the fine grit sandpaper though!

Now it may have masked your scratches for the time being, but as others have said...they will come back and the only true way to get rid of scratches is either Paint Correction or a Respray.

You guys need to lighten up. Maybe the scratches will come back after a couple of washes, but for $15 I'm pretty happy. It did what it said it did. Took me all of about 20 minutes to do all the obvious scratches. So, if I have to do it again sometime in the future, big woop.

no. you need to wise up. did you buy magic beans jack?

the scratches are not gone, their hard angles are diminished temporarily by greasy fillers that will wash off.

you removed nothing... you put cheap coverup on a big friggin zit.

Hey...its better looking then a big friggin zit...

I would suggest Dr colorchip (if down to bare metal) or polishing compound (still in the clear coat) for a more permanent fix...then finally a good body shop...

Dude, I just spent $15 and about 20-30 minutes and my car looks so much better. The alternative is to spend $$$ to get the paint resprayed or hours wet-sanding, buffing and polishing. All I said was that the scratches are gone...meaning I can no longer see them. I don't know why some of you are offended and have to express such strong opposition. Geesh. If I have to do it all over again in a month...that's fine.

I have the Dr. Colorchip and it works really good as well. When I have more time I'll do a full polish. This was just something I picked up at the Autozone just to see how it would work. I would love to get my front end completely sanded and resprayed, but don't have the $$$ for that.

because, if you mentioned in your original post that while yes they "appear" to be gone, it's a VERY temporary fix, it might not of been so bad, but you said "Even the deeper scratches are gone."

You made it seem like they were "magically" gone even though we all know its just a cover up, and a very horrible one at that

Alright I think we all realize this stuff doesn't remove scratches. As a temporary solution it may be fine. Besides it's cheap and fast. Not everyone has the money to drop on a proper detail or the equipment+time to do it themselves. Can't say its a bad substitute if you consider the last sentence.

I must agree with OP -- if it takes less time then a wax treatment, even if it comes off in the rain (it doesn't rain where I live from March - October), pretty awesome.

Ok, perhaps I should have titled this thread "Scratch cover-up". The point is I can no longer see the majority of the paint scratches. I'm happy considering the amount of effort and money I spent.
