Hello, eveybody.
First of all, I did search around this forum and messaged to members who has Seibon bootlid. I didn't get the solution so I am asking help. I have the newer version of the Seibon bootlid (Shaved emblem area and keyhole). Overall fitment was good except the locking area. Basically, the 3 pre-drilled holes for the lock does not match to the lock due to thick fiberglass where the lock goes in the trunk (near seibon badge area). So I dremeled, dremeled, dremeled.... The holes still does not match to the lock. So I used 2 longer screws to hold the lock from bottom only(Not one on the side). When I close the trunk, the lock does not catch the hatch in the trunk. Instead, the lock sits away from the hatch. I can still close the trunk but the lock is about an inch away from the hatch. Did anyone have same issue like this before? I am about to take my car to local bodyshop. If anyone knows the trick to this, please chime in. Thank you.
