did you read Obioban's objective suspension comparison? there's a link in his signature... i did some research and went with tCK SA 500/500 and are very happy with them. not harsh at all.

ask him what his shock settings are at. it could be a rough or bouncy ride if they are too stiff or too soft. with my pss10's my friend's notice when i move the shock settings a few clicks. i have them on a softer setting for DD but when i got to the track they go full stiff. sometimes i forget to put them softer and whoever rides a lot will notice they are a lot stiffer.
