So about a month ago my check engine came on. When it came on my car had loss of power and was just dead. I had my mechanic check the codes, and it said muiltple things about the VANOS. He told me he was going to clear it up see how it would be and for me to just drive it, and if the check engine light came back on to bring it back.
So, just a week ago i started my car in the morning and my check enigne came on once again, the car was shaking and not idling right at all ,it also stalled by itself, it sounded like the enigne was rumbling too much.
Sooo back to the main point my mechanic called me in ,he read me the codes which are :67 Advance Valve Inlet Vanos
72 Retard Valve Inlet Vanos
201 Misfire Cylinder 6 w/ Cylinder Cut off
210 Misfire Cylinder 6
208 Misfire Cylinder 4
213 Misfire sevarl Cylinders
197 Misfire Cylinder 2 w/ Cylinder Cut off
204 Misfire several Cylinders w/ cutt off
206 Misfire Cylinder 2
When i read all these codes i was actually surprised because about a month ago he read about 5 codes based on VANOS. Now its Misfiring?...So i changed the 3 Coils that were misfiring and threw a set of spark plugs..The car now runs fine. And the computer that read these codes was a Snapon Modis. Anyone with any input on this please let me know ....What should i expect?.. Thank You for reading.
