All I got were inquiries from bottom-feeders. This Last of the Mohicans E46 M3 will remain in my hands, since I can't find anything I want to replace it with. I will probably end up keeping the car as well. I guess it was just morbid curiosity that got me thinking about the value and the difference between a car with CPO remaining and one without. I know it really depends on the sellers local market (i.e. there are less M3s around here in central Ohio than in southern California).

My original logic was that if there was a huge difference of CPO vs. non-CPO then I wanted to be sure to make a switch before my CPO runs out in November. Guess it all amounts to a hill of beans at this point.

It was a good deal, but I don't think that it was particularly unusual. I've seen other cars sell for similar prices in relation to TMV.

If you are curious, PM me your email address and I can send you the original ad. I saved all of the ads of cars that I was considering to purchase!
Just out of curiosity, what color combo did you end up going with?

I bought a 2004 Silver Gray / Black Vert with 42K miles for $21,000. Not as great a deal on paper vs. the 2005 CPO, but I'd always second guess myself if I had bought the gray interior.

Good call on going with the black interior. I agree that it looks better with the silver gray exterior, but I may be a little biased.
