Default '05 M3 with Nav Red Light on Radio

There are three lights above the eject button on the top right of the radio/nav unit. Sometimes, the red light in the middle flashes and I have no idea why it does that.

Any ideas???

Also, my NAV crapped out last summer so the map has me not where I am. I was told I needed a new unit, but did not want to spend $800 on the part. The onboard comupter works fine.

If the phone is connected via BT then the red light flashes when the phone drops the signal or a signal can't be found.

The Nav an the OBC are two different and separate things mate, however, its sounds like either GPS antenna is duff or the mk4's internal GPS receiver/Trimble unit.

GPS antenna is like $20 and the Trimble is a bit more, check the nav service menu and see if the nav unit is receiving any active satellites, (you need to check the nav's almanac)
