Have a listen to this ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktUWZWItTqU Its not a big end bearing. The noise disappears with a good rev, but comes back now and again, and runs smooth in between....?? I had replaced the engine already for this problem, as I thought it was a piston hitting a valve, and replacing seemed easier than repair.. Only the main body "block, head and sump complete" was replaced, then the noise returned after 200 miles on startup one morning.. Original injectors, new plugs.. It will misfire before the knocking starts!!!! Can anyone shed some light..?? |
