keep your e46 m3 unless you need a bigger car. Thats the only reason i see it happening.
m3 still looks good, its actually a bit faster 0 to 60 ask me how i know m5 is a car you buy when u have kids and a wife but still looking for a performance oriented vehicle. oh and the v10 m5s do have their own problems as well..so becareful

No way I would do it if I was you. Unless you need 4 doors and want to be on a first name basis with every gas station within 100 miles.
I put nearly 150,000 miles on my E39 M5 and on numerous occasions tried to convince myself to buy the E60 with a bunch of test drives. I simply couldn't do it. Just wasn't worth more money to me. Sure it was faster and newer, but it wasn't more fun to drive, the interior is nowhere near as nicely put together, and I didn't like the lack of low end torque. I don't track or race a 4,200 pound car, so fun at legalish speeds was where I was looking at, and the new one just didn't do it for me. Just sold the M5 after much debate as I don't need 4 doors anymore and I needed a parking space for my race trailer. If I were to replace it, I would get an E46 M3 no questions asked. |
