Default Re: Comprehensive MSS50 DME information (Euro E36 M3 S50B32 321 PS)

You could try swapping some config bytes at the top.
0x0003 = ECU Type -----62dec in MSS50, 160dec or 161dec in MSS50.1
0x0005 = Unknown/transmission ------2dec or 3dec SMG, 21dec Z3M, 22dec M3 Man 93dec Mex/Br
0x0017 = Chassis Type -178dec E36, 118dec Z3M
0x001C = Unknown ----48dec E36, 78dec Z3M/M3 Mex/Br

These are just guesses at some of the Config bytes...
With a bit more looking, some patterns might emerge

Thank you, I will add this to the summary page. We can close this topic about the daten mod for the MSS50.1 to MSS50 conversion.

Anyone able to pull a full bin? I can run it through the disassembler so it'll be easier to identify other maps and constants using what you guys have already found thus far.

This is a full 512kb bin which i pulled through obd, the format is master/slave, and it is in the same byte order as the parial reads.

Hi Kim, thanks for that.
Could you please, to share knowledge, explain how you did that for us? Maybe a step by step?

Slim, now added (also on first page) by Kim, a full read through OBD (one single file!)
