Default Misfire detected , Cyl #2

I haven't driven my car in a couple weeks and went to start and well like the thread title it felt like it was running with 5 cylinders . It was extremely rough and i noticed above average condensation coming out of the exhaust pipes . I just toughed it out and it smoothed out to 95 % normal, it still has an ever so slight "rumble" to it . Couple things , 1 .I washed the car a couple times before putting her in the garage (maybe something got wet or got water up the exhaust pipe ) 2. Gas is a month or so old 3. Very recently did the spark plugs (will recheck) 4. Just replaced the radiator and expansion tank and I ran a lean water to coolant ratio , Im in florida ,but it has been near the high 30's . Same with oil , i usually run 10-40 or heavier .

Any ideas to what happened ? Peake code table#16 , code #EF

Any help or comments is greatly appreciated

I would double check your spark plugs (specifically #2). Make sure they are all properly seated and torqued to spec. (18.4 ft-lbs.)

same issue, misfire in #6 with no CEL did the coils plugs and a CPS, ran beautiful for a day then started misfiring again. Went on vacation for a week started it up and it ran perfectly smooth for 15 mins...... havent touched it since, i'm too scared. Somethings loose somewhere, but i cant figure out where

Unfortunately, unlike wine, fuel doesn't get better with age; I'm guessing that it's the aged fuel.

Empty what gasoline you can, replace the fuel filter, fill with high-octane gas, and drive. See if that cures it.

Otherwise, take it to an indy BMW shop and have them hook it up to their GT-1 computer. That will let you know what's going on.

Yeah, that cylinder near the firewall can sometimes be tricky to torque down properly .

If it's an undertorqued spark plug, then you would hear a bunch of blow-by at each compression stroke. If no noises, you could remove the plug on the #2 cylinder and look at it. Make sure the electrode isn't broken. Check for good spark by having someone turn the engine over while you watch the plug. Hold it with an insulated pair of pliers and make sure the coil is still attached.

Good luck.
