0-10 mph over is always a safe play in TX - the ones going 15 over get the tickets. In central TX - not as fast as PA

, our speed limit is 80, so you can do close to 90 without an issue.

Sounds like cruising speed is about the same, just people dgaf about what the sign says.

I honestly dont find myself doing much more than 8-10 over these days unless it’s been more than a couple of months since my last track day. Then It starts to creep up..

I usually cruise along in the middle lane, following traffic, which is usually about 5 over.

5-10 for me, but I'm boring. Since I work from home I have no commute, so I never really feel pressure to get somewhere when I'm driving, which I like. In the rare case where I'm making a significant drive, going any faster just doesn't seem worth it. Highways around here are usually crowded (with idiots), cops are frequent enough and some of the surfaces are total crap. And what am I gaining? A few minutes maybe?

I also grew up in VA, so maybe it's in my DNA to not go over 79

This is true, driving on track makes roads so boring I have no desire to push it in any way.
