Questions:
1) My car is an E36 w/ S54 swap currently running Alpha N. Im guessing that's no problem but probably a few different settings and a few more things to delete in the software vs e46 chassis. Just checking to make sure he is cool with that or if I should just contact him offline and stay out of the group buy.

2) Dyno preference - Does he care? Not all dynos can apply a load which is preferred when tuning. I can get to one pretty easily but everyone else might not be able to - just throwing that out there.

3) Estimated dyno time to book, 2 hours? I mean Im sure he has a map thats "pretty close" out of the box for most setups and Im guessing majority of time is spent dialing in, just curious how often that usually takes.

Thanks!
1)not a problem
2)I don't really care about dyno types, since I use dynos for their delta measurement and to plot afrs vs rpms on the graph. But I usually like to use dynojet since this helps compare the output to other cars with similar mods/tune. So it's a better indication to know if the car is running well or not in comparison to so many others that usually and predominantly use this dyno type
3)usually 1 to 2 hours tops should cover it. Yes my tune targets are already pretty much dialed in*, but each car is a little different (exhaust /intake setups affect vanos targets) so the tunes end up being custom to each car. Alpha N cars require a bit more work in afr tuning, but that falls into that time estimate also

Yes. I got you covered, but we need a wideband to have something to work with and get afrs dialed in

Map is always the better option. Alpha N works too, but cold starts are a bit on the rough side for about 30 seconds in cold weather, but it runs just great otherwise. I personally run alpha N on my own car.

I got a couple of Paul Claude's "off-the-shelf" tunes (w/CSL map sensor) when I installed my airbox and SS v1s, the 2nd tune being for the addition of the 288/280 cams. So you can either go PC's OTS route or I'm sure Hassan can put together a generic tune for the group as well.

My only concern is that I specified Schrick's cam specs at the time and I'm not sure if the cam sync offset values are the same between Schrick and Cat Cams. I feel like last time I looked, a couple were ever-so-slightly different.

Hassan - do you know offhand if the cam sync offset values are the same between Schrick and Cat's 288 intake / 280 exhaust cam setups?

Yes they are sightly different than the schricks, but the schrick offsets should work, I've had customers use them before with no issues. They are too close for it to really matter, but it's something to consider

This is great. It'll probably be a while until my car has cams (and an airbox and exhaust) but I'll definitely contact you Hassan once it does, even though that means I'll miss the group buy.
