Default NYS inspection/emissions

Need some advice. Sorry this may be specific for NYS residents.

My catalytic converter is done and i've been getting codes and the SES light. I haven't decided if I will replace them with Euro headers or stay stock.

In the meantime, I'd like to pass inspection in NYS since mine is up in December. I do have MartynT/ecuworx tool and it looks like I can disable fault codes for Cat deletes. Will enabling this function work in my case so that I can pass inspection in NYS? Will this also help me pass inspection if I decide to go euro headers?

Thanks!

Depends on if they do the sniffer test or not. I remember when I live in NY they had a sniffer test but that was 6+ years ago. All that programming will do is allow you to pass the OBDII code portion. I believe they also show as not ready which may still be a fail. In Colorado you get to have one not ready and the second one fails you (for the counties that have testing at least)
