Default M3 seats and lumbar support

I just got a '99 M3 with electric sport seats. I like the seat overall but the lumbar support is too much. I know that the euro adjustable lumbar support can be retrofitted but is there a way that the present seat back (lumbar support) can be reduced so that it does not stick into my back?? Is there a way that the euro adjustable lumbar support will reduce this harsh lumbar support that is presently fixed in my car? Any others having trouble with the seat having too much lumbar support? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
