I love the sound of the LFA. Built by yamaha motor, tuned by yamaha music.

An oldie but goodie:

Nothing beats the CGT though.

When is the last time you heard a gold-digger say she wanted to find a rich guy so she could have a Lexus? Never. It's always a Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche/etc.
*sigh* Why do I even waste my time?

An LFA owner already has a Ferrari.....and a Lamborghini and a Bentley and an Aston Martin. If they really wanted to impress someone, they'd drive their Rolls Royce to dinner.

They're rich and they appreciate badass cars, of which they already have many. That's why they buy it. They want a cool and unique car.

99.99999% of the population thinks that any exotic car is a Ferrari. Who gives a sh1t what "the population" thinks?

If I rolled up in that sweet little 350z nismo at a high school people would probably be impressed. Same goes for the LF-A.

And yes I have seen reviews. I am allowed to form my own opinion too, not that most reviewers don't already mention the fact you could have 6 GT-Rs for the same price and nearly the same performance...

American Muscle cars are collectible because they have sentimental value and represent America's love for the automobile. They also didn't cost more than a ferrari when they were new, so it's fairly easy for them to go up in value. This LF-A on the other hand costs more than a Ferrari and is being controlled by the company that owns it. Do I think the LF-A will be worth 200k in a year? **** no, that's impossible with the way Lexus is selling the cars. They have total control over the LF-A market and are actually making people like you believe this car is worth the price tag.
Round and round goes the broken record...round and round and round and round. Thanks for answering my question though. You really ARE that dense.

(1) - Is that a proven fact? Can't the LF-A be somebodys highest-tiered car? Nah, guess not. You're probably right.

(2) - Who gives a sht what the population thinks? Ummmm, people who buy stuff for the "status". Isn't that what's meant by status symbol?

I didn't realize we were actually citing fact. I guess your "99.5%" is entirely factual too...

The point is, IF they cared about status, they more than likely have the means to buy something else to boost their ego should their $400k Lexus prove inadequate at impressing the neighbors.

In car circles, the LFA will be appreciated. Among non-enthusiasts, only the most jaded people would turn their nose up at a car like the LFA because it's a Lexus. People are either going to think it's cool or not notice it any more than they'd notice a Ferrari or Lamborghini. And there are plenty of Prius-driving people out there just like that...they wouldn't blink if a Pagani Zonda drove by.

holy batman someone is mad. but I totally agree though.

I mean if I'm rich, I would buy the LFA over these hands down lambo mur sv, 599 gtb, dbs, 458 italia, etc....

definitely on the same level as 599 gto or carrera gt even if it is a few tenth slower. i was watching chris harris review of the LFA and he said that the interior quality/fit/finish of the lfa is something a ferrari can only dream off. visibility for a super car is good, sound wonderful from both inside/outside, what else to ask for?

Get over the price already. Deal with the fact that you're too poor to buy one. Stop trying to rationalize what you would or wouldn't buy. Stop talking about what a waste it is. You're like the most annoying goddamn broken record on the planet.

Anything that cost $400k is a status symbol. A $400k platinum coated, diamond encrusted dog turd is a status symbol. The Lexus badge is completely irrelevant. You pull up in an ultra rare, ultra exotic $400k car and people will be impressed....if that's really your shallow, pathetic goal.

As for this dumbass collectors argument...it's collectible because a car company not known for anything remotely like the LFA, stepped outside its boundaries to produce a truly spectacular car. Have you read any of the reviews? Have you watched any of the videos? The reviewers are literally awestruck by the car. The driving experience and the level of quality combined with the price and sense of exclusivity make for the perfect recipe for collectibility.

Are you really that dense, Casey??? Why the hell do people pay $200k for old pieces of American shitpile muscle cars? I think that's a far more puzzling dilemma.

At least we're all passionate enough to rage about cars. I'll just leave this here so hopefully Matt takes that eyesore yellow out of his sig.
