Default Kakonn's Mystic Blue E46 M3 Build Journal

This is my 2nd E46 M3 in this past year. I bought a 2002 Alpine white SMG slicktop, cloth seats, early in the year. Almost everything that could go wrong with it, did. Went through the subframe reinforcement, Vanos, all new bushings, CPV, all new belts, even did the 6 speed swap through Kaiv. It was a higher mileage car, almost 120k and one maintenance issue followed another. It seemed like I was never going to get to do any of the "fun" mods. So I sold it and after a few months a buddy of mine wanted to sell his 2004 mystic blue m3. Aesthetically it was in much better shape, virtually no chips in the paint just the usual paint swirls. He kept it covered and garaged his entire 4 years of ownership and 1st owner before him took even better care of it. Vanos has been rebuilt, valve adjustment done, no signs of subframe cracking, and most importantly a manual with no sun roof (I'm 6'4" and don't fit in the sunroof models).

Specs on the car:
2004 Mystic Blue M3

6 speed
75k miles
Manual leather seats
No Sunroof

Previous owner did:
KW V2 coilovers (custom valved)
Apex arc 8 wheels
Federal RSrr tires
330d short shifter and AKG shifter bushing
FCAB – OEM replacement at 60k miles
RTAB – Whiteline + RE limiters at 60k miles

Inspection I was done at 25k miles
Inspection II w/ valve adjustment at 56k Miles
Besian Vanos fix at 56k miles

Only negatives I've seen are peeling C pillars, which I've ordered new ones already. and one curb rashed wheel (Replacing with CSL wheels)

Ive had the car for about a week now and have done:
Rogue Engineering Exhaust
New Steering wheel
New Shift knob
New Shift boot
New Center console

A few photos!

Not entirely sure on the tint percentage, previous owner had it done. But its very very light in person

I'm really liking the ambers with that color, the car looks super clean! Nice buy.

Question tho, how come you can't fit in a sun roof optioned car? I am 6'6 and fit in mine just fine

Mystic blue looks so good! It looks pretty well sorted too, nice find. What are your future plans?

I love it, that combined with a brand new shift knob really gives you a "newish" car feel.

I think its my height proportions. I have a buddy who's similar height and he fits fine too. but most of my height is in my torso, my legs are regular length. So every time i hit a bump my head hits the roof, if I ever wanted to track it, it would be difficult with a helmet.

Thanks! No direction for it yet, just want to make it a nice weekend driver. Slowly trying to replace whatever interior pieces are messed up since thats where I spend most of my time. Eventually will make my way to the exterior but so far everything looks pretty near perfect
