Default IB///M3: 2005 ZCP Journal

Hey guys, I wanted to be part of the cool kids, so I decided it was time to finally start a journal. For those that don't know me, my name's Jun. I've shared most of what you will see with the forum already, but I'll be sure to add to this whenever I see fit. Enjoy!

To start, here's a pic of my previous 325i right before I sold it:

Naturally, the progression from the 3-series is an M3. I searched high and low for one just that seemed just right for me. I thought I found one, a LSB on LSB coupe, but it sold before I could pull the trigger. Scouring online, I found what would end up being my M. A 2005 Interlagos Blue ZCP M3 with 37k miles. I was a bit weary of the SMG at first, but after a test-drive, I felt comfortable enough to seriously consider it. The car came OEM 19s, and the much sought-after M-texture Alcantara interior, along with a full-catback Magnaflow exhaust system. After everything checked out, I sealed the deal and bought it in April, 2008.

Here are some pics I snapped after driving it home:

After getting the little things like smoked corners & matte black gills/grills, the first major thing I wanted to work on was the suspension. I came across a set of Tein SSP coilovers; after researching some reviews, I figured they fit the bill for what I needed at the time--a good drop & affordable price.

After a friend & I installed them:

Shortly thereafter, I traded my OEM 19s for a set of ZCPs. I was more than happy as those wheels truly belong on this car. Little did I know, that'd be the beginning of my seemingly endless wheel fetish.

Next up, I wanted to spruce up on the exterior a bit more. I bought a rep CSL diffuser, and for a while, ran a replica ACS front lip with a custom splitter & ACS rep 3-piece spoiler:

One day, a friend of mine from Houston, Nick, IM'd me and told me he was selling his car. He asked me if I would be interested in his Hartge front setup, and I immediately jumped on it. I'll be forever grateful to him for this hard-to-find front lip/splitter, knowing he chose to sell & ship it to me, as opposed to easily selling it to some thirsty locals. Thanks, Nick! Anyway, I decided I wanted to go the custom route, so I choose to mount the Hartge front lip & splitter onto a CSL front bumper:

I also added a Seibon CSL trunk:

^thanks guys

Staying with my all-show-little-go theme, I added some Sparco seats, had my roof vinyled matte black, and purchased a Vorsteiner GTR hood:

The hood ended up being too aggressive for my liking, so I had the inner vents filled & had e92 M vents added:

I won't bore you guys with the wheels I've had for this car, so here's a link to a compilation of them, along with some pics of wheels that I may have not shared before:

I was also fortunate to be a guest with the car club, Europrojektz, & got to experience 'showing' with them in a few car shows:

and fap material of one of me for you beasts
