If you actually look how the original concept has evolved into the production version, it's improved quite a bit. The engine's position has changed from transverse to longitudinal, and the wheelbase has grown 3 inches during development because of it. Plus the TTV6 and 3 motor electric drive has to pack enough technology and punch out perform the cars listed above. Reminds me of a mini-918/P1 for a fraction of the cost. I'm excited to see how this car performs.

There was the NSX of course. The beautiful Legend coupe which was available with a sublime 6-speed manual transmission. The Integra GS-R, which revved to 8,200 RPMs..

NSX with that hood line though

Actually it does as I compete with used cars all the time (and lose often)when trying to sell a new $150,000+ car. My client last week changed from ordering a 911 Turbo to a used Ferrari California for the same $$$....I think Acura will get a much needed boost as this could be the breaking beak they desperately need to get rid of those giant protrubis on their model line up.

I actually really like the car... Although I'd probably call it more of an R8 V10 competitor (not the V10 plus) more than anything. I'd pick it over a 911 turbo/s based on looks alone.

The 'standard' looking Acura grille in the front really needs to go. Pretty much sex everywhere else besides the price.

Has to have some semblance of being an Acura.

i owned 4 previous jap cars (2 acura and 2 honda) and one german car in my life (e46 m3) and still to this day don't understand the stupidity about german cars being superior BS nonsense. all i know is the m3 costed me ton of money on maintenance and repair for 5 minutes of fun each day. it is totally a waste of time. There is no fun getting stranded on the road or wasting time in the shop. almost got killed once caused fool bmw engineers can't design proper electronic system.

I'm no mechanic, but common sense tell me the engineering in these german car are absolute horrid. they are more complicated than they needed to.

case in point my honda/acura never left me stranded on the road. I abused them, neglect maintenance, etc....but my mdx has the transmission light on for pasts 3 years and i still can drive it no problem. drove over 100000km and it still go. maintenance/repair is less than 1k a year. dead serious.

where as my m3, any fwcking light come on, whole thing shutdown. one time just stopped the entire car while i was driving on the highway and I almost got killed. common now....stupid german engineering. maintenance/repair 5-10k a year easily.

I couldn't be happier after I sold that POS. sorry, no more german for me. don't care wtf you snob said about porsche or bmw. these POS is gonna ruin your life one way or the other.

just a lot more goes into the cars I assume. The LFA for example had a ton of impressive tech on paper but didn't put out crazy numbers people wanted despite it being pretty fast.
