Adroid is better, not only due to better routing but due to being able to use satellite maps on all scales. That said, however, it isn't that easy to use the droid maps while driving. The volume isn't adequate for turn-by-turn, the screens are still too small and the radio doesn't partially mute (with low volume, that can make it difficult to hear the prompt).

If BMW could just load the Google Earth navigation onto the M3, you'd have a winner. I find that even better than the 3-D maps on the new navi.

I have 3-D maps on a Garmin, and while it is neat as a "brand new" sort of thing, I find it more distracting than helpful. The detain in the buildings isn't enough to really be able to properly identify them, and the extra dimension often ends up just blocking the view of your route.

2-D satellite maps are the best option in my opinion. Android has that in spades...

I very lightly optioned an M3 last year and have not regreted it. No nav I like to use my garmin when I need it or Android. I wanted a very clean car. No regrets.

Just posted this.
