Default Did it myself O2 Simulator Success!!!

So I ordered an o2sim to be able to pass inspection a while back from http://www.o2simulator.com/ and I never got my product. I did however get my money back.

Took a trip to radio shack and about $15 and an hour later this is the result.

I tested it already and it produces what it should....

A square wave with an amplitude of about .66V and a frequency of .2Hz

This will get rid of any codes and keep them from coming back and will help anyone without cats pass inspection.

I have not put it in the car yet but it will be in tomorrow. Will update after its in the car.

Schematic and details can be found here: http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index...._O2_simulators
Use this spectacular DIY by loftygoals to install: http://m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=337969 Just remember your out needs to be parallel to both O2 sensor wires.

They are extremely easy to make just time consuming. I can make a few and send them out to those that cant make one themselves but I wont be able to mass produce them as I would be making them all by hand lol.

Thats another problem. You cant pass inspections even if you get a tune. It just turns off the light, the emissions will still be not ready. Last I checked an O2sim was the only way to do it without cats.

I don't think I'd be able to pass emissions in Cali regardless I just want that pesky light to go away. Good to know though, I figured it was all the same.

Unless they are doing a sniffer test I believe you should pass. Car wont see a difference if checked by OBD. Someone correct me if im wrong. Not sure how it works in cali.
