Default Re: High RPM Issue

Finally solved!!!!

This has been the longest 6 months ever!! I was without my car for about four of them and when I did have it the car ran like crap..... Anyway....

The main issue turned out to be the tune from Active. After data logging, countless revisions and over 50 dyno pulls they finally got it right. It was such a long process because after each revision the car ran ok initially but with some mileage would pull more and more timing eventually to where it could pull no more so it took forever to find out if each revision would work or not.
I could go on for days complaing but i'm just glad it is finally fixed. I can't thank Mike from MaximumPSI enough for hanging in there with me. He went above and beyond!! Today he modified the AA SC bracket (which must have been an earlier version) to solve the belt slipping issue.
Just under the SC pulley the idler pulley was extremely close making the belt only millimeters away from itself and was not suitable for making 12PSI. The ribs of the belt would actually rub against itself and be ruined after a few good pulls.

The car made 488WHP!! and that was with some heat soak and the stock muffler. The first pull stopped logging at 7300rpm. I'm very happy with these numbers especially coming from mikes dyno which reads lower.

So the Renegade kit added 75whp...Thats pretty damn good!!

Thanks to all for the support during this grueling process!!!
