Default a hearty hello with cheer and sorrow

hey all, I'm from orange county and I've lurked here for a long long time and i finally picked up a 2001 e46 m3 with 80k miles and i was signing up to join an already very helpful forum... now un fortunately i have to ask some q's as i have a trans/clutch problem that occurred tonight

I'm going to find the relevant forum sub category and post my problem in there

Thanks dude! And ya it's a bummer.... Gonna need a new clutch....
I was prepared for maintenance as I've entered the world of used cars, just didn't think it would be this soon lol
Gonna have it fixed by the end of the week and get started in personalizing it with carbon and a nice loud color scheme

I hate to ask this question, my car has 85k on it and I know a clutch is in my future…what is the cost??

If you go to a garage and get them to supply the parts and with labor it'll be between 2300 and 2800 bucks....

I bought my own parts and got them cheaper than what the dealer sells them and I got a deal on labor from the place I bought my car 2 weeks ago from and I'm getting mine done for $1000 ad another 350 for other bearings to replace whilst the box is out

thats a lot of money! yep yep. the previous owner said i may have to replace my clutch soon. and my baby said she needs an inspection done in ~12,500 miles. and theres no warranty on the car.
