Guys, does anyone have any experience with importing from NY into Canada? I was planning on importing my e46 on Saturday, but none of the DMV's are open on Saturdays (shocker). All I need form them is the temporary plates anyways right? Is there another way around this? Can I drive without the temp plates back up to Canada?

You need to fax your paperwork to the border crossing that you plan to import the car at, 3 days in advance. No ifs ands or buts about that. Minimum 3 days otherwise they won't process your importation. Read up on all this at www.riv.ca
