Default CDV Delete

Mandrussian recommends a c-clamp from the 99cents store to crimp the line while you remove the CDV.

Just thought I would let you know that a small flat set of vice-grips works just as good.

Hope that helps.

Very dangerous that advice on both counts - STRONGLY recommend getting a dedicated line clamp. Plastic ones are available from Pep Boys &c for @$10. This will maximize your chances of saving the stock clutch line!!!

I just did it without incident. But I have no doubt that a dedicated clamp will work as well.

Just to clarify, just like Mandrussian's suggestion, you just barely clamp it, not a "gorilla" clamp. In fact, some of the fluid still dripped through when I did it, but it was drops and not a stream of fluid. I think the key is to be gentle and not damage the hose.
