Default Custom AA Tune...310hp Mustang Dyno with simple Bolt-ons!

Ok.. Well I went to AA today.. and found out a wealth of info..

1st. MY Ductape job to hold the MAF Screen in place on my KN63 Setup had already melted..No good.. they lent me aluminum tape.. Walaa Cured..

2nd. BIG ISSUE.. Everyone has been installing the MAF Screen BACKWARDS.. The way its written in Jack O Laterns DIY Is WRONG.. Take a look at the screen.. One side has sharper edges on the grid, the other side is more flat.. I had to flip the screen and instead of fitting snuggly inside the intake.. I now stuck out top.. But this is VERY Important to know.. Also it must be tape on or glued.. with a 45 degree angle to the sensor.. If you look at the screen straight.. It has four section pattern.. dont align it straight, turn it till so its like a triangle in the direction of the MAF...

3rd.. When I jumped on the dyno... my previous tune was all out of wack as I had figured.. The AFR's were a bit rich and the car wasnt running right.. He re-adjusted my AFR's... and with the final run.. we hit ~310hp.. They had told me that a Previous person had Dynoed there ZCP with CSL Headers, Exaust, KN Intake, and Pullies.. and only hit 290hp.. He told me I must run my car hard, because Im one of the few cars that had numbers like that.. BTW the ZCP only had 4k miles i have 44k...

Finally. The car now feels AMAZING.. the Tune was DEFINITLEY needed to make the Screen and Filter run properly..

The Software is Available from Active.. If you have Similar mods and would like the perfect tune .. Call them and they will sell you the software.. My Final numbers were TRUELY impressive..

HERES The Dyno Results!...

CHEERS AND ENJOY!!!

ORIGINAL TUNE was ~278hp with 242 ft.lb Torque..
KN63 Intake, NO MAF SCREEN, Section 1 Eisenman, Section 2 Eisenman,
Borla Exaust, TMS PULLIES, Active Autowerke Custom Tune/software

NEW TUNE ~308 (Avg) HP with 249 ft.lb Torque 80 degrees F..no humidity
KN63 Intake (Streamline Cone Filter), MAF Screen (The correct way), TMS Pullies, OEM Section 1 with Resonator, Section 2 Eisenman exaust, Borla Muffler, Active Autowerke Custom re-Tune/software, Watter Wetter in Coolant, Colder Thermostat, Denso Spark Plugs

DEFINITLEY UP some.. AA Also had New Dyno Software so the comparision numbers may be off some.. It would be safe to say.. that I had a gain of at least 10-15 hp, and 5hp Torque.. But thats with all the changes not just just the filter..though the filter defn helped

Car Drives, and Revs all the way up in an AMAZING way.. the engine is soo smooth now without any hesitation.. Gas Mileage is way up avg 21mpg at around 90 mph.. I couldnt be happier with the results...

The Streamline Conefilter, defn flows more air and does a better job of directing it versus the KN Cone filter that comes witht the 63 Intake.. I attribute some gains to the Streamline Cone Filter and to the Proper placement and positioning of the MAF Screen.. I also added a Colder Thermostat and water wetter in the coolant.. I had to have AA turn off the SES light to make as well.. The oil temps are about the same, but the engine temp definitley reads lower now..

AND HERE IS MY ORIGINAL TUNE:

ORIGINAL TUNE was ~278hp with 242 ft.lb Torque..
KN63 Intake, NO MAF SCREEN, Section 1 Eisenman, Section 2 Eisenman,
Borla Exaust, TMS PULLIES, Active Autowerke Custom Tune/software

That is pretty awesome...wonder how that all translates in the 1/4 mile?

...and don't forget about the protection part of the Streamline...no dyno will show this aspect. It always seems like protection is never a priority with Hi Perf air filters until now that you can have your cake and eat it too with the SE filters

Thanks!.. Yea i was quite upset with my car for a while.. The mod setup in my original tune made weak numbers and didnt give me a satisfying drive in general.. With this new setup..its like a whole new car....

I will be attempting the QT in due time.. I dont like to beat my car at the drag strip... I perfer a road course instead.. But I may just have a go at it.. My times with the Original Setup were

1.86 60'ft
13.6 at 103mph

this was with 94 degrees with about 90% humidity.. water was condensing all over..

so im curious to see how things will play out..

Also if your wondering how i got a 1.86 60ft.. There is a SMG Trick.. If you have it in regular gear..1st, you can tap the gas pedal very lightly and get the rpms up to about 2200rpm. Then when the light hits green floor it.. and youll get an almost PERFECT launch...Way better than Launch Control
