Default Headers + RE Rasp Pipe

Right now, my exhaust setup has a Rasp section 1 from RE and a dinan exhaust. I love the sound so much that I would never give it up for anything. My questions are, I know the Rasp pipe eliminates rasp but does it also restrict airflow? IN other words would it be a waste to get headers, or a section 2 to try to squeeze out a couple hp? Also, if I do this, will the rasp still be gone or would headers and the RE pipe bring back the rasp?

If it is giving you a somewhat quieter sound....then it seems to me there is a good chance it is restricting airflow.

If I am not mistaken...the RE rasp section 1 weighs a bit more than the stock unit itself.

I don't like the rasp myself....but I'm not sacrificing even the slightest performance decrease.

Most rasp pipes deliver on what it says it does....eliminate the rasp. They claim no hp gains nor even state that it doesn't even lose performance.

And as far as headers go....if you go with the Euro type....the cats are in the Section 1 part....not part of the header like the US version. So if you switch to the euro header....you'd be running no cats with your current set up. Not sure if this was your intention. You'll probably get some fault codes unless you get the Conforti Shark software. You still won't pass smog and if you get caught with no cats....pretty big fine.
