Default 9/11 audio tapes.

Has anyone heard these? Chilling to say the least. I just listened to two of them and I am furious. I know this is a bitter subject but damn it just pisses me off so much. Anyway I thought I make this post because it seems sometimes people start softening up on terrorism since it has been so long since the attacks. Well maybe not softening up on terrorism but starting to question America's tactics on dealing with it. And with all the Iran talk lately, I think I should point that one of the US's biggest problem with them is the accusation that they are a terrorist friendly country.
And please don't turn this into a 'what the real motive for attacking Iraq was' thread.

If anyone wants to hear them I will post the link.

Yes, I'd like to hear them. I was wondering if someone would have links or not.

Thanks.

The sound of tower 2 collapsing while the guy is on the phone is the worst.

it's horrible...

but Saudi should be next, if preventing terrorism is the goal...almost all were Saudis...

this was a bullet by bullet job, not invading a country under false pretenses in a full scale invasion & occupation...there was no Al Queda in Iraq until we created a vacumn and drew them in...

There are a lot of things that separate us from the people who committed 9/11 and I like to think that an intelligent and nuanced approach to dealing with problems is one of them.

This is a complicated world and it requires a complicated approach even though we would prefer the easy black and white disctinctions that have been foisted upon us.

The worst thing we can do is start to make generalizations like we did in Iraq and like we I fear are doing now with Iran. It is cliched, but true -- if we do that we become just like them.

I agree, but the day the US attacks Saudi Arabia is the day Ferrari gives me a free Enzo. I am pretty sure we have military bases there already and they are our 'close ally' in the war on terror. BS. If I recall correctly 19 out of 20 were Saudi.

no, they asked us to remove all bases, and we did...because it was causing so much instability, and they are holding on by fingertips as it is...

Saudi diplomats & royalty, according to some, rendered assistance to the enemy...but oil generates a lot of 'winking & nodding'

Brought a tear to my eye hearing all those people die, a sad day indeed, and those responsibel are still at large and free to do whatever they want.

While we have our troops in Iraq wasting their time, and our money. I dont think it was the Iraqis that did that, why are we in Iraq.

Speaking as a Muslim I have seen another picture of a childs head severed by a Muslim fanatic. To me that Fanatic is a Fuking Insect I would love to get my hands on him and crush his body, life and his soul if he has any.

Anyways there is some people out there that need to be tortured in the worst way possible, be it Muslim or whatever.

You can not justify a death of an innocent civilian no matter what you beleive.

Which just goes to show you, and I mean no offense by this to anyone in particular, that anyone who believed we invaded Iraq to promote democracy needs their head examined and deserves to be duped.

Saudi Arabia and Kuwait (the country we saved from Iraq) have precious little respect for even basic democratic principles, and yet they are considered close allies.

I'm not suggesting that there are not good reasons to support those governments, but can we at least have the self-respect to be honest and admit that it has nothing whatsoever to do with promoting democracy in the region.

flame suit on...

it is horrible...

but wtf sheds a tear for the 40k Iraqi civies killed, 1/2 by us, 1/2 by terrorist/insurgents...not to mention the 100k soldiers, conscripts, doing no more than protecting the Homeland and looking for a meal that we vaporized during the invasion...they were Patriots doing their duty...

this whole thing makes me sick, all life is equal, American is not MORE equal...we need to loose that mindset if we are to move forward...
