Default all this just for a coolant leak!

yes boys.....as you can see from the title and the pics. i had to removed this whole assembly from a V8 Cayenne to fix a coolant leak! this is unusual for a cayenne and the jig that i used had never been opened in 3 yrs. which means i was teh first one in the dealership to do this job
i have my lil padowan in one of the pics. you can get an idea of how big this thing is. sorry about the crappy camera phone pics

warranty will cover this one.....he was out of warranty by a few thousand miles. so a quick call to the area rep and he ok'd it. as for labour, you don't wanna know. i lost a lot of time trying to locate the leak. no leaks present with the pressure tester. it would leak only when left alone for a few days and a puddle would appear. persistence paid off when i decided to remove the intake system and fuel lines. the 'V' was full of coolant and i had to dry that out as much as poss and then carefully watch the valley fill up a drip at a time. i was hoping to do the repair without having to drop the engine. @ 5 hrs wasted i gave up and bit the bullet. "engine out". 4 hrs later the engine was out

a 2" diameter plastic coolant pipe from the front of the engine (behind waterpump) to the rear, going in to another coolant housing. which is attatched to the rear of the heads.
