Default Drivers Door won't stay shut

Okay, another dumb problem here.

While driving if I hit the brakes hard, take a hard corner, or go over a speed bump the dome light comes on and the window does it's auto down thing. Then a second later the dome light turns off and the window does it's auto up thing.

Basically the pressure sensor isn't having pressure from the door latch kept on it.

Has anyone had this problem before? Any fixes?

I can't tell if it's the latch that's bad for the pressure switch on the door jam.

Thanks for the help guys!

it sounds to me like a door alignment issue

The door still shuts tight. It's as though the latch doesn't push the pressure switch quite enough to keep pressure on it when the car experiences body/door flex.

Could it be that the latch or switch are worn down just enough to cause this?

if they are "worn down" then you should be able to adjust them. the switch could just be going bad i suppose.. but the door should not flex noticebly if correctly adjusted.

i am sticking to my guns on this. either the strike or the door is mis-aligned.

If the tang of the switch is visible, use a T40 size torx bit to loosen the two screws hold the catch to the chassis, then use a screwdriver to push the catch outwards(towards you) then tighten the torx nuts while keeping some pressure on with the screwdriver
Secondly, you might want to make sure that the harness is not pinched , crushed or shorted at the grommet where it exits the chassis, the grommet where it goes into the door, and the sheathed length between the two.
