Default bmw engine gurus chime in need HELP

ok so car goes into limp mode , take it in to my tech guy . we find that that o2 were shorted out somehow , and that some of the wires were also no good ,basicly the o2 preheat , fixed everything supposedly , and took it out for a spin , same **** after 3 min it falls into limp mode , and blows a fuse in the little box in the engine bay ....again .., so i guess theres something else that we are overlooking ,

anyone know what else can be shorting , something related to this ?? im frustrated to hell...

what fuse blew?
were the O2's ever modified, lengthened, etc.

did this occur after some work was done, or all on its own?

Thats why i asked. I think he has Evo headers no cats and my software. Which would mean his tech didn't get an 02 sensor reading for a reason.

Bottom line is we need more data.

I'm having the same problem , my car goes into limp mode everytime I accelerate ! a bad temp exhaust sensor causes this .

I'm not an engine guru by any means. Common sense would tell me that the MAF wires should be checked from beginning to end and see if the wires' insulation is melting or binding anywhere.

Oh yes! I have been down this long painful road before. During my header installation my O2 sensors were installed improperly or mishandled ( they are rather delicate) and resulted in a bad O2 sensor. Car ran in limp mode. It was hard to figure out even with dyno scan reading live data from the O2 sensors. Took it to Evosport and they fixed the problem quite easily. Before going to Evosport, I took it to the dealer in desperation and ask them to help. They did not even want to touch my car. They said it was too modified and when I check the online service data they mention that the car has extensive modifications. So the lesson is not to take it to the dealer because they won't help you at all.

I am not sure if it is dealer specific but if you go to idriveonline.com, this is where I can get a complete service report each time I have taken my car to the dealer. Also they allow you to put in your own service ie. I got a 4 wheel alignment at an independant BMW service shop and put that info in. You cannot edit what they write however.
