Guys, seems like a common problem but since the dealer is putting my car through the certification process now (i bought it as it was traded) I was wondering the dealers "leather guy" can touch up the scuffs on the seat bolster. I'm inclined to not bring it up since it will probably scuff right back up but i did come across a post here from a guy in NJ who does leather repair(can find his post again though to PM him) and if the dealer can fix it why not have him do it. Black leather.

definitely ask the dealer to to the repair. I recently brought in my car to Irvine BMW, and they performed a 'one time courtesy' of redyeing my bolster and seat bottom leather (they brought in a leather specialist). it looks like new again, and it definitely makes a BIG difference. I was impressed with the result.
any skilled leather repair/upholstery shop will be able to do this repair also.

+1, if still under warranty dealer should do it for free (mine did). But it doesn't last forever. Having mine done now at dealer for 3rd time in 5+ years and now I have to pay for it.

+1 more for taking it into the dealer and seeing what they can do for you.....unfortunately the leather in this car is very soft and fragile but I guess that's the price for really soft, good quality leather.....

I think the jackass who did the Maryland inspection on my car scratched the side-bolster...I don't remember the scratches being there....but no proof so I really couldn't say anything...

Wow, the dealer will redye these for free if still under warranty? The previous owner of mine did a small amount of damage getting in and out, and it's the only thing that isn't perfect about my interior, so I notice it every time. I'll try them on this one and hopefully they'll sort it, thanks!
