Default Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir question...

Hey guys..

i was going to put some washer fluid in the windshield fluid tank, and i noticed it started dripping to the ground, even tho the reservoir was not full...

i removed the fog light to see the tank better, but i could not see where the leak was coming from..

What is the best way to access this reservoir without removing the bumper?

Also, any idea how much this piece will cost to replace?

Thanks,

Niels

you can access the water bottle by removing the wheel, then the fender liner cover behind the bumper. i think its like 4 screws, 3 on the top and one under the bumper. unless there is a hole in bottle, the pump or level sensor is loose.

sure you can simply remove it. but then you will have the washer fluid light on your dash.

perhaps you can get AA SC stg2 and use the sensor as the alcohol/water injecter level indicator

you can access it by taking off the plastic fender liner.....thru the wheel well
you can remove it and eliminate the light by soldering/attaching/connecting a wire between the two poles....easy to do with any piece of wire and electric tape.
the plastic tank weighs next to nothing when empty.....i drained 6 qts of fluid out of mine....so someone can do the calculation to how much was in there....it may hold more than 6qts when full, mine was not...but anyway.
