Default Will the car go into LIMP MODE when I run CATLESS without software?

Will the car go into LIMP MODE when I go CATLESS without software? I know there is going to be lights coming on if I don't get software, but I just want to know if the car will go into LIMP mode or I can still be able to drive normally. I am asking this because I might want to try going without Cats and see how loud the car will be when doing usual driving. But if the car will go to Limp mode, then I won't be able to do this.

Thanks in advance!

Arthur

Actually you wouldn't.. they wont have enough effect on or off to make a differance in the tuning.

you shouldnt go into "limp mode"

just make sure you wire the O2 sensors correctly. . .not that i'd know about messing that up

you should get software regardless though

I dunno. I do know that I put 30,000 miles on my car with many mods on it without it EVER going into limp home mode.

In the last 1,000 miles since I had D/A Race software with no cats, it went into limp home mode TWICE while I was driving. Now, having said that, Once I turned my car off and turned it back on the car was fine, but still, it going into limp home mode IS disturbing. I took my car to BMW to run diagnostics the day it happened for the first time, and they could find nothing wrong with my car...

BTW, I have a K&N 63-Series Intake w/ Streamline Conical Filter, Evosport Headers, No Cats, Borla Midpipe, & Eisenhaus Ti Exhaust. No internal engine mods. Oh yeah, and I have D/A Race Software which DID make my car a bit faster and enjoyable to drive...
