Default Cold Start/Summer Gas hard start-- FIX?!

GUYS! after reading about this issue and NOT having it, i figured i was lucky enough to not have to deal with it... but it started, about 2 weeks ago, car doesnt always turn over on the first try when the engine is cold...

I might have found a fix, and its actually a quite simple one...

Turn the key to position one, (you hear the fuel pump prime) let it prime to build pressure and simply turn the key, boom, no delay.

It seems to occur only to me when i hop in, put the key in the ignition and immediately crank it over... so i mentioned it to my dad and he laughed at me, telling me to let the fuel pressure build first, then turn it over, and what do you know... started right up..

I dunno if this works for everyone, and i only discovered this today so im not even sure if its a "permanent fix" but it makes sense to me... try it out and lemme know if it works for you all as well

cheers

jason

Yeah, this generally seems to be the only resolution (to the symptom, not the problem mind you). On occasion, i still get a little lugging after waiting for prime, thought it still only takes one start. It just sounds a little ugly. I still feel like i'm priming my $55k car like I prime my lawnmower.

Doesn't work. When I originally posted this over 1 year ago:

I was given the same answer. I tried it for a bit and it seemed to work (purely coincedental). This has not worked this entire spring. I'm still experiencing the same type of problems...
