This will create a 74min "blank" CD, needed for operation of the Dietz.

I also was not able to get the file to burn as it is not the normal image file format. To be honest, I only tried once. If you are able to burn it let me know.

Here is a video I made. The audio in the beginning is my ipod. Then I switch over to the DVD player (and hit play) and you can hear the distortion. Then I hit mode again and the radio comes on. Then I hit mode one more time and the ipod is back on.

1)Ipod
2)DVD
3)Radio
4)Ipod

I do not change the volume at all.

Tom, this is what the file looks like after it extracted from winzip. This file will not burn in itunes. I believe it needs to be ucompressed but I don't know how.

I've never heard of a .bz2 file.

Winrar will decompress .bz2 files. Download a copy at www.rarlab.com

I uncompressed the file and burned it on to a blank CD but it made no difference when I tried it in the car - the audio from the Dietz is still loud and distorted. I made another video (see link below) to show the problem. The volume on this video is only 1 click above 0. I am playing a Jay Z CD through the DVD player at Volume 1. It is loud and distorted. Then I switch over to FM and you can hear the volume is so low that you mostly 'hear silence.'

I think at this point, the only option is to switch out the Dietz and hope that fixes the problem. It sounds much worse in person than it does on this video, but I think you can get the idea...

Well none of the trouble shooting helped so I'm going to send the unit back to EAS next week to see how it works in their setup. Hopefully it's faulty and they can send back a new one that works.

Not really sure what I'll do if it works in their setup...I guess that means something is wrong with my car's wiring???

Thanks again for the help Tom.
