Just went through, again and again, ~23 pages from the thread by mikymu, "Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde - Odyssey of full CSL exhaust, ..." DIY, and i telling myself, i *might* be able to do that my own.
But i'm actually gunning for Supersprint full exhaust setup to my existing setup of section 1/2 and race (of course section 1 will be replaced with the race cats for stepped). I've seen some post installation pictures from the following post, http://m3forum.net/m3forum/showpost....8&postcount=42 , and *urgh*, i get the feeling that compared to CSL headers and cats, sensor locations, stock o2/temp cable lengths to reach these locations, space to work with, etc., is not very installer friendly for weekend DIY warriors. Anyone can share their DIY experiences with their Supersprint stepped headers and cats? Down side of leaving in Boise Idaho is even if you can afford to get the best, your option to have it installed professionally that knows our cars, is, ... well ... limited, very limited. Otherwise, i'm driving down to D/A to get these stuffs installed *correctly*, and maybe few more things while down there. I wonder what the driving distance is like from here to where ever D/A is located, hmm... Placerville, Ca but *NO* street address??? Where in Placerville, Ca??? |

i believe you you have to have an appointment to be let in the gate..hence why there is no available address. I know they don't want people just showing up there. Top secret facility

Anyone know of D/A does installation of headers and cats, as well as parts they offer on their Web page ?
Or, do they only take in cars to work on that are only doing some serious modifications, and not some headers, cats, diffs and few off-the-shelf part installs ??? My understanding is that D/A is not some general purpose installation shop, open to public where folks bring their stuffs to get put on their M3. |

Well, looks like D/A is out... these folks are booked clear to next year, 2008 !!!
Plan A - do it myself. Plan B - do it myself Plan C - get psyched up to do it myself Play D - come to some sense and ask myself if i can really do it myself. I mean, if Supersprint stepped headers and race cats have the sensor bungs locations that are nearly identical to CSL header/cats, then *mikymu" DIY write up should *still* apply, i'm hoping... |
