Trunk Handle Falling Off?

Anyone experience this?

My handle is hanging on by just one screw, the other 3 have somehow broke off.

Any ideas on how much a new handle from the stealerships will be.

That happened to me, ironically, on the day I bought the car. Luckily the car was under new car warranty when I bought it so I had it repaired. But it'll involve a new trunk handle + paint + install, so you're probably looking at a couple hundred.

That happened on my 330ci during extreme heat one year. I pulled up on the dumb thing and almost all of the screws broke. I was like WTH. I never really fixed it just hooked it on so it looked straight and lifted the trunk up by the top of the lid lol!

You can get some new screws from the dealers and put some washers to hold them down if they been broken off.

what size washers?

same thing happened to mine but just the edge.

Yeah mine just broke, i got quote $150 for the part, plus paint plus install.

Try a 1/2 inch washer and a 1 5/12 inch screw.
