Very interesting 80-120km/h performance..

.5 secs off of a 500hp focused car is not back at all.........I wonder how that will translate to a ring time.

the m3 was on cup tires, not your reg street tires. with reg street tires it would prob no even break 1:15.0

It's been said on M3post.com that the 19" wheel option will come with Cup tires. At least, that's the case in Europe. Not sure about the US.

well good for the european buyers...prob not gonna happen here making the times listed irrelevant for US buyers. im just saying, people are gonna go wow it ran 1:14.3, but in reality its prob more of a 1:15.X car with US spec tires.

And we all know we sure don't want anyone saying "wow, it ran 1:14.3", don't we. I'm sure you'll put them in their place.

We can rationalize that BMW sacrificed low end torque for a perfectly flat midrange torque, which is very important at the RING, and greater chasis balance...mid range torque is perfect for power delivery and produces usable speed around 60-125mph, which is the optimal range at the RING. 0-100kmph (0-62mph) becomes useless at the RING because most corners, average drivers are coming out of the slowest turns at 35-60mph, and the fastest at 60-110mph...smooth midrange torque delivery becomes more important coming out of all corners.... Let's hope for a good RING time...
