Default Bilstein Sports/H&R's Installed

What's up guys. Thank you for all the input to my original post requesting suspension advice. I've had the new setup for 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier. Dropped $4200 on my baby, of which $2000 was labor, and it was money well spent.

Along with the Bilsteins and H&R's, I had the shop install some Rogue Engineering rear shock mounts and SSK, a TMS trailing arm bushing limiter kit, new tires with 4 wheel alignment, and perform Inspection II.

Wow. I've had it back for two weeks, and I've already gotten a ticket: 98 in a 65. Two more miles an hour and the bastard would've confiscated my license. Thank god he clocked me before I really got going. Raced an e46 M3 day before that on the freeway and had it pegged at the limiter for awhile. Only 137 mph, and he couldn't pass me. I think it had more to do with driver ability than the car. Some people just can't negotiate traffic at 140 mph. I've also been in the hills a few times in the past couple weeks and the handling is amazing. Hands down, best handling car I've ever driven. Truly, confidence inspiring, wallet emptying performance.

Anyway, I highly recommend the Bilstein/H&R OE Sport set up. Handling improved tremendously but not at the expense of ride comfort. Yes, it is a little firmer, but just a little. And aesthetically, I'm also very happy. Didn't want to drastically change ride height. The half inch drop is perfect.

Next upgrade? Software. 137 mph? Really? That's ridiculous. In the words of the immortal Captain Kirk - well, at least I think it was Capt. Kirk, I'm not a trekkie -, I need more power!

Congrats on the suspension setup. Your thread seems to have nothing to do with the title- the suspension itself though.

I'm not sure racing at 137mph on the street is really a good thing to post up on this forum. Just gives M3s and the forum a bad name for the rest of us.

Take it to the track and keep it off the street- jeeze.

thanks for the recomendation
as for the 137, do what you need to do but before you take a chance think of your car reduced to a junkyard cube either due to an accident or having it impounded by the gooberment...

bilsteins + HRs = sex

So you were negotiating traffic while racing another car at 140mph???

Wow. You're really tough. Putting other people's lives in danger is not cool. How old are you? If I were a mod, I would delete your thread.

Couldn't you have given us the good info on your setup without the context of that juvenile story?

ive come to learn that what people do with there cars is there own buisness, wheather it be racing at 140 through traffic, or rubbing wax into baby butt smooth paint. Who are we to tell a grown adult not to do something. Humans will be humans and no human is perfect....
