Default flat spot at high RPM

Unrelated to the current intake threads...

But what causes flat spots at high RPM when certain intakes are installed? And how can it be remedied? For some it's actually in the middle of the band where torque is lost.

Change the intake again. Software. Any other breather mods can flatten out the band.

Wyatt not being mean, but you don't own an M3 but you like live on here...buy one already and join the team so you can contribute already!!

But it possibly could be too much air being pulled in and software still hasn't adjusted. Kinda like the first few hundred miles after installing CAI

A properly set up ECU will get rid of flat spots, broaden the power band and give you more power and torque.

Based on mine as well as the other M3s that we have done, I would say software.
