Elf HTX (www.Elfoils.US) brake fluid. Works great.

I've always been amazed by that...not only does my dealer offer to use super-blue, the braking system is made by ATE, the maker of super blue/gold.

ProSpeed GS610
It costs about the same as Motul RBF600, but IMO it gives a slightly firmer brake pedal (it could be my imagination though)

I flush every couple months, more as a precaution than actual need

I use Pentosin Racing Brake Fluid now, cheap($15/liter) and decent boiling points(572 d/393 w) but I have to bleed before every event and sometimes during the event.

I'm considering Castrol SRF and be done for a year, from what I hear anyway.

The track I goto most frequently is pretty hard on brakes which generally calls for a bleed everytime.
Interesting, I run ATE in my E46 M3 and only bleed when I change pads, and have never had a fade issue. I will admit I am lighter, app 3000#'s and do have Brake ducts for cooling on the front. It sounds like cooling might be the big issue, not the fluid.

I never bleed my brakes, I only flush them, and I usually do it every 3-4 events (weekends).

I switch between ATE Super Blue and the gold stuff (if you already have the blue stuff in and flush in new blue fluid how can you tell when the old fluid stops coming out of the line and the new fluid begins?).

I haven't had the need for the really high end stuff. I'm running stock size rotors with PFC-01 pads at the track on a R-compound tire. Over the course of the weekend, my brake pedal will hold the same firmness (I also have stainless steel brake lines).

The warranty issue w/ ATE should not be an issue at all. The owners guide says to use DOT 3/4 brake fluid. If someone gives you lip about it at the dealership, show them what the owners manual says, and then show them the bottle of the stuff. It should be a moot point.

Some dealers are more full of **** than others. This dealer diagnosed a friend's bad head gasket as bent valves from a money shift and kindly offered to replace his engine for $12K. (E36 M3)

What really pissed me off was that they went ahead and branded my service record. It's one thing to say no, it's another to go out of your way like that.

IIRC superblue isn't DOT approved, only because it's blue though. I think it says it's DOT 4 equivalent or something like that.

The question is whether or not you give a **** enough to actually escalate it. It wasn't worth my time to do so.

I always find it worth my time to make sure I get the proper service from the service department. If they are going after blue brake fluid, they will go after anything. It is my right to modify my vehicle the way I choose, and as long as I meet the standards set my the manufacturer, you better believe I'm going to expect I receive the proper service. I'm not afraid to bump heads with a service department.

On the other hand, I live in the bay area, and I have plenty of service departments to choose from.

both your weight and cooling are helping you a lot. I've considering cooling but don't know enough about which one to get. It's really only Sebring that really kills my brakes, haven't had the same problems elsewhere(RA and VIR).
