I never use it. In my opinion, it is useless. If you want more gas, then just floor the damn car.

BMW put the sport mode button in the car to de-tune it when not on. The engine, tranny, etc. were all built with having the sport mode on in mind. I love turning mine on when I want to feel the power the car was meant to have.

BTW, I am many others have done gas mileage comparisons and it doesn't use much more, if any gas.

You have NO idea what you are talking about. The car makes the exact same power no matter the condition of the Sport button.

Amazing that you believe it actually does anything other than remap the trottle position. But full throttle is still full throttle.

Why do you think it doesn't use much if any more gas. More power is going to require more fuel, so your statement pretty much proves it makes no difference in total power output.

To the OP, I'd suggest a search, this has been discussed to death and goes hand in hand with the SMG vs 6MT debate, some love it, some hate it.

My personal opinion, its the most useless feature on the car.

I think it is easier to heel-toe when the sport mode is on. You just have to tap the accelerator and it winds up. It takes more pedal input when the sport mode is off (and thus you have to either roll your foot more or press more with your heel....)

You are correct I said "power" when I mean't to say feel or whatever. I just didn't word it right. I know what the sport mode does/doesn't do might point I was trying to make is that the fact that you turn it off you are actually driving the car unlike the manufacturer had initially intended it to be driven. The engine was built to be in sport mode, not with it off.
