Since new emission standards require the car to be put on rollers, the factory has programmed an emission mode. When the front wheels are not moving it goes into that mode and refuses to rev past 6500. It also leads to erroneous dyno readings.

Good luck Jeff. If the chicken dance doesn't work try a witch doctor.

Not sure where you are at, but the local guy that I'm dealing with charges an hourly rate... depends exactly on what you want to do...

He told me that he can get a group price if I bring in my friends (<$100 per car)... for 3 runs.

Hopefully the tips posted above will work on my car on Monday when I take it back.

Jeff

Thats alot of trickery to dyno a car.

I don't need to do all that to get ANY e46 M3 to pull to redline.

Do you still need stage 1 tuning to do this multistep procedure for dyno testing?

Find a shop with an Autologic module. That nifty device can put all S54 cars into "dyno mode". No fuse pulling, hair twisting, locomotion **** necessary.
