Default M3Forum.com OFFICIAL 60-130 mph list

GPS based performance accelerometer times (Drift Box or Performance Box)

PLEASE NOTE: Only GPS based, data-logger times from either Drift Box, Performance Box or V-Box units will be accepted for this list. No extrapolated times from 1/4 mile time-slips.

Also, all submitted data must be reviewed for accuracy and approved by me before the time is posted. Simply attach the data off of the Drift Box/Performance Box SD card and email it to me at divexxtreme@hotmail.com . When I have time, I will review the data and let you know the results.

Please note; all submissions that show greater than a 3% downhill slope over the course of the run will not be accepted. If there are errors or if I find other problems with the data, it will not be posted as an official time.

Also, I won’t be posting HP numbers in this list. From personal experience, it creates more problems than it’s worth. If you want to find out the estimated and/or dyno’d HP of a car in the list, you will have to do a search.

The below list can include any BMW vehicle that belongs to any member of this forum.

I actually purchased the Performance Box which will be in my possession Monday or Tuesday. Already I have quite a few e46 M3 guys in the LA/OC area that are interested in meeting up and using this technology to find out truly how quick their cars are with their certain setup, etc. This is good information to benefit all on the board. Dyno sheets are very relative but a 60-130mph pull on a Performance Box shows the true raw acceleration that can't be argued with. This is also much easier for most to use than going to a drag strip. The drag strip can be a huge hassle and relays a ton on driver ability.

The reason for a sticky is so that the thread is always on top and does not get lost "in the need to search" cyberspace. I think it would be more annoying if a guy just said "bump" twice a day.

Guys,

I'm cleaning this thread up. Let's not clutter it with arguments and other off-topic stuff.

Oh, and for those few members that don't want this stickied in this section? It's not going anywhere, so get over it. If you don't want to read the list, don't click on the link next time.

I think it's one of the most informative lists I've seen. And I totally agree it tells a lot more about how fast a car is than either hp or 1/4 mile times.
Thanks for doing this.

I am making very little power right now so I need to turn up the boost...a lot!

My turbo is way out of it's efficiency and this shows it.

8.9 seconds. I will work on more power and then when I get a proper 60-130 I will send it in to have it verified.

Awesome hb....however I am not seeing any shift points.

Oh, I just checked, and you have a 2.79 LSD. I take that you can hit 130 in 4th which will be a huge advantage for you (not compailing, my GT2 has the same advantage).

Thanks. My 4th gear goes well above 140mph. Shift points are at 1.2 and 6 seconds.

Yeah at least I got something to show before the car went back in the shop for more power. The funny thing is that when I put the Box on Performance Mode it was datalogging the entire time and I had no idea. So last night I finally checked the memory card and had all these files. One file was 23 minutes long with three long pulls.

This really helps me understand where my car is currently at so hopefully with another 200-300 more whp I can get some nice results.
