Default How to spend $2500 to get performance?

I'm waiting for BHS fan, evo pullies and GC gizmo, and i have more $2500 to spend on my m3. I only want to increase performance. What should i buy: exhaust system, GruppeM airbox... (i already have remaped ecu)

Default I don't want to lose top end speed.

3.91 Differential ratio gearing = less top end speed

Wrong...unless you have found the magic HP pill that lets your M3 reach the magic 201 mph.

Vandy

This is not my car but the owner is my friend. It have SS system without cat's, sport camshafts, and remaped ecu in dyno by SKN engineer. He spend $3000 only for the remaping of the ecu.

Actually, 310 KPH is only 192 mph. add in the 10% speedo error and your friend's doing about 175. You need about 500 hp or more to hit 200 even in very slick sports cars such as a F575 or 'Vette. The M3 is even draggier, so I don't ever think you'll see one going 200 with an S54.

could be wrong, but I think it's about 185 or so with the 3.91 rear end. I think that's plenty fast for me if you had the ponies to back it up, but I wouldn't get it because I have to do alot of commuting and wouldn't like the increased RPM at highway cruise speeds.

close... mph= (rpm *26.03)/(gear ratio * diff ratio *336)

(8000*26.03)/(0.83*3.91*336)=190.97
