Default Hi, from Australia

Four days before Christmas I took delivery of a new E92 M3. Since then, I have clocked up about 1200km in it and I have to say, this car is something really special. I placed my order in August and since then I had read many (less than glowing) road tests, which played on me somewhat. They said things like the car "has lost its edge", "the steering feel isn't involving", and even "the steering wheel is too thick".

Bollocks to these critics. They clearly had not explored the car at all. Yes, in default "comfort" mode the car is soft and civilized and possibly less sport orientated than a 335i ... but it is also more comfortable in city traffic and on lousy pot-holed roads than a 335i as well. But, fiddle with the M-settings and the car becomes every bit as taught and responsive as an E46 M3 (I have also driven one of these), but with far more engine flexibility. This is really a car for all seasons and anyone who has one on order need not worry ... you will not be disappointed.

My baby is Alpine White, Fox Red, Titanium Shadow. The only options omitted are extended leather and the ski-bag.

Hello and Welcome, car looks fantastic (even if I do prefer the old E30 and E36 shape)

Cheers guys,

The M3 forums have been a wealth of useful information and opinion to me in deciding to get this car. So many Google searches ended up yielding M3Forum posts it is shame on me for not joining earlier. May I make a big and belated thank you to all the friendly and knowledgable people on this forum.

May I also be sober for work tomorrow
