Default Feeler: Thinking about selling my 2004 M3 (and buying a newer one)

2004 Silver Gray, Gray Int, SMG, HK, Premium Pkg, Heated Seats, Park Dist. I have pretty much all options minus NAV. 38k miles and showroom perfect. Car will be sold oem. I can leave the Eibach kit and Konis if someone wants it. Anyway just tossing this out. Don't have an asking price yet but it will be current market value.

Why sell? Not a huge difference (really, any difference) and it seems like you have low miles.

Maybe 15k on the springs, and 100 miles on Konis.

I don't have NAV or Bluetooth and wouldn't mind finding a newer car that is CPO'd and low miles. I had my eye on a 2005 but upon closer inspection it wasn't in great shape.

Ah, that makes sense. Although Bluetooth kits are pretty easy to come by, NAV would be an expensive retro-fit, but might be better in the long run than changing cars.

Scott, I thought we had this conversation already? Keep the M3 you have already! You know every single mile that was ever put on that car along with the service history, which I suggest is invaluable! Take it from the Mandarin orange man! I got a vanity plate idea as well. I saw a hybrid the other day that had a license plate which read "60 MPG" I was thinking since I average 8 mpg maybe "8MPG" What do you think?

By Summer time when the gallon hits $4, you'll have to change your vanity plate to:

"No$4Gas"

Means "no money for gas", not a sign of protest as in "don't buy $4 gallon gas"

Very true! I am hoping OPEC will continue to increase output, otherwise I might have to take the Dart bus to work!

I think the best plate (for an M5) is GLP GLP. Gulp Gulp in case you don't get it. I'd be a little afraid of getting keyed by an environmental nut wacko.
