Default anyone ever have 3rd party warranty claim

I am still looking at 3rd party warranties and reading the fine print. It talks about only paying $60 an hour up to 8 hours or $300 max...does that make sense?

Anyone ever have to take their car in for warranty work, beside CPO or cars under BMW warranty? Any problems?

I absolutely hate 3rd party warranty. My car came with one when I bought it and I eventually took it up to BBB and got the full refund back.
Basically they would do everything they can to make a warranty claim hard and troublesome.
For a diff leak they wanted my car at the dealer until they sent an inspector which they said maybe in 1-2 weeks. I couldn't take my car because then the whole procedure has to start over. The warranty covers my rental car but they wouldn't allow it until the inspector came. Even then I don't know if they would have compensated me.
I also have to have the dealer take the diff apart. If the warranty decides to not cover it I would have to pay for all the labor for that.
They eventually said out of the $4000 parts and labor cost they would pay $1200 because that's how much a diff and the labor is in their book.
A lot of warranties have their own parts and labor book so they won't pay for the total cost even if the warranty says it does.

If you choose to get one don't get dimension service corp.

I have a third party warranty through fidelity warranty services, had the car serviced three times and already broke even on it. So far, great company to deal with. They gave me a little trouble over the front control arm bushings because my car was over 50k miles (wear items they cover up to 50 k wtf?) but I called back and spoke to a different person and got it covered. They're being replaced right now as I type. I have to admit that my SA Tim at circle bmw has been great too. He primarily deals with them and has been on the phone for over 40 min with them sometimes getting things approved. A good warranty and great SA FTW

I uesed to work for a shop that worked on Audi, VW and Porsche. I was the one that would have to deal witht the aftermarket warrenty companies. I have never dealt with a bigger group of scumbags in my life, and this was dealing with multiple companies. They would always find a way to not pay for it. Or if they were going to pay for they screwed you and typicaly the customer as well wanting used or sub par parts to be used. Based on how much time it took me to deal with them were losing even more money because I was being paid hourly to deal with these a$$holes.

Best decision we ever made as a shop was to turn away jobs people wanted covered by aftermarket warrenties.

Take the money you would give these people and save it to fix your car.
