OEM LED license plate lights installed on CSL bootlid

I decided to replace the regular e39 license plate lights on my vcsl bootlid with the OEM LED license plate lights that come on the newer E60/E90/E92's. They look really good in person. They're not too bright or dim. The light output and light spread is perfect. And it's just pure white light with no hint of blue. I posted the DIY here.

Fun pic. I started playing with the exposure settings on the point and shoot cannon. This pic was taken at 11pm with an 8 second shutter delay and no flash. Mind you they are NOT this bright in person.

LED license plates are so sexy!

I am not sure if you knew, but all you had to do was replace the regular lights w/the LED festoon lightbulbs from www.autolumination.com

there are no error lights associated w/license plate lights, and the light is pure blue.

awesome work tho! it just would be alot easier and cheaper to just plug in new light bulbs

hehehehe. you've followed my posts.

i started to part it out and sold stuff - cf trim, bbk, exhuast and bootlid. Then I had a change of heart and decided to keep it. I sold the bootlid to JR, but then I recently bought it back from him. Now I'm the market for an exhaust again. Then BBK again. Then cf trim again
