@ Bob,
Have you had the car dynoed yet? I just wanted to know if there were any power gains with this setup. Very nice sounding system.

[QUOTE=BimmerPerfStore;3365665]Hi Guys,
I have a prototype of the new Borla E92/E90 M3 exhaust on my personal car. Those of you that might not be familar with my relationship with Borla, I'm the guy that got them to make the E46 M3 midpipe (part #60090) back in 2006. They used my old E46 M3 for R&D for both the original version and the new V2. IMO that is and has been the best sounding, most cost effective option for eliminating rasp on the E46 M3 and we have sold hundreds of them. So, when the opportunity presented itself to test the new E92/E90 M3 exhaust I jumped at the opportunity. I promised not to devulge specific info I know about the design, but I can tell you a few of the important features:
I do not have an exact release date or price yet, but I will post info as soon as it becomes available. Check out the video here.Below are some static pics on my car. Bob That is a great one guys.... a prototype of the new Borla E92/E90 M3 exhaust in your car is a good looking ofor your car dude... _________________ Rapid Tooling |

I have to agree with others that the tips must go. The thing I hate the most is how they get skinnier as the go back. Looks gay! If you want people the see a "big powerful" tip, then keep them big back into the muffler. i.e. SuperSprint

Tips aside, I've heard several complaints re: customer service from our retail forum sponsors. I ordered an AFE filter from BPS that was listed "in stock" a month ago and have not been able to get a response by email/web-site contact or phone (left message nobody ever answers) as to order status. I would be reluctant to make a substantial order although they appear to have many good products.
Anyone else get their AFE filter somewhere else?

Hey everyone,
I still have a Borla prototype exhaust that came off my 2008 E92 M3. The design was like the M5, in that is has 2 round mufflers on each side, instead of one larger one. The E92 body just seemed to be more prone to resonance, so they made this one to reduce that effect. If anyone is interested, this belongs to me personally and I'd like $750 shipped for it. EDIT: I found a pic of my car on the rack at Borla with this exhaust. I'll still try to take more pics of the exhaust off the car. ![]() PM if you are interested. Bob
