Default Oil $80 dollars a barrel

So how come gas is still $3.68 gallon?

Because the price of oil doesn't directly affect the cost of gas duh. That's only true when prices go up.

I hope oil goes back to $30 a barrel. Then it will really be funny to see the gas companies argue why they still need to charge $3.35 a gallon.

There was talk on CNBC. That oil prices will most likely dip down to $40 dollars a barrel.

I drive past the gas stations in the morning, and by time I pass them at 6 o clock on my way home from work, the price has dropped a couple more pennies!!! YAY

Because there are refinery capacities tha affect the price. Also, you need to look at the cost of light sweet crude, as opposed to heavy sour oil. Light sweet crude is cheaper to refine and has higher yields.
